提起主机，就不得不说 Overselling，很多人不了解它的真正含义，今天我特意写这篇文章来解释一番。
英文单词 Oversell的英文字典解释为 "If you say that something or someone is oversold, you mean that people say they are better or more useful than they really are." （来源权威的 Collins Cobuild Advanced Learner's English Dictionary 2006 字典）。金山词霸的解释为“销售过度，吹嘘过度”。

2008年伊始，Lunarpages主机商就迫不及待的公布了新的主机方案，把原来的Linux共享主机从350GB一下子提高了1500GB，月流量也增加到15000GB，而价格却保持不变，依旧是每月6.95美元。对于这个主机商，本人是不打算在这里介绍的，因为它的声誉在国外是日益下降，而且属于High Overselling，服务质量也一般。但是今天看了网上的一些反应，有必要说上几句。
